Why Tofino?

Tofino is a place of wonder, mystique and magic. It is a place that conjures up feelings of excitement, warmth and freedom. It’s a place where the rugged rainforests of the west coast meet the wild and untamed shores of the great Pacific Ocean. Ancient and magnificent cedars, lush green, misty rainforests, long sandy beaches and world-class surfing make this a truly unique place.
No matter who you speak with, everyone knows someone who has made the pilgrimage down the long and winding Pacific Rim Highway to a place where the road ends and the ocean begins. This is the legendary destination known as Tofino.

To some, Tofino is a summer memory. A place to relax, unwind, connect with nature, recharge and rejuvenate. To others, it’s a night filled with excitement – live shows, world-class meals and evenings by a beach fire with friends. Some say it is best enjoyed with a warm cup of locally-brewed coffee, storm watching indoors or tanning on the beach in the summer. This is a place that has a unique meaning to everyone, and at its core, this is what makes Tofino special.

We knew from our first time visiting Tofino as little kids that this place was special and we wanted to be a part of it. We wanted to create a product that is as one-of-a-kind as Tofino. One that spoke to everyone in their own way – with bold, contrasting designs for some, and soft pastels for others. Just like Tofino is something different for everyone, so are our products. Around the world, certain products are tied to a memory or a feeling. Similar in the way the Muskoka chair is reminiscent of cottage country in Ontario, we wanted to make the Tofino Towel a little piece of Tuff City that you can take home to last a lifetime.
