Will the chenille fabric shed or pill easily?

Chenille is naturally durable, but because it consists of tufted, raised yarn piles, gentle handling helps keep it in pristine condition. Woven to minimize lint and shedding, washing the throw on a delicate cycle and keeping it away from sharp jewelry, pet claws, or coarse Velcro will prevent accidental fiber snags and surface pilling.
