Why is the towel round?

Rectangular beach towels require constant adjustment to stay in the sun, whereas a circular towel allows the person to simply move themselves, offering better sun coverage. Also, having no corners, round towels tend to lay flatter and be more stable when it's windy.

Can I use a round beach towel for anything else?

Absolutely! Round beach towels can be used as picnic blankets, festival blankets or as a play mat.
