Tofino Towel Co. Design Contest

Here’s a chance to have your designs come to life! Show us your creativity by designing one of our new limited edition velour towels.   

 

Here’s what you can win:

The selected winner will receive a $1000 cash prize, finished products of their winning design, a VIP Gift Card for $500 to use on our website + a VIP discount code to use for one year.

 

In addition the top 5 designs will be awarded a $100 gift card to use on the website + an exclusive discount code to use for the summer.

 

Winners and honourable mentions will also be included on our website and social media pages with links to their portfolios and/or social media accounts.

 

Submissions deadline: March 31^st 2023
Voting period: April 1^st  – April 15^th  
Winner Announcement: April 17^th

 

All entries will be reviewed to ensure they fit the rules and regulations. A combination of voting by our Tofino Towel Co. staff and a panel of guest judges determines the Top Finalist designs, which are then voted on by the public. Voting by the public helps determine the Grand Prize Winner, Runner-Up Winner and Honorable Mentions.

 

Artwork submission details:

• Submit only the final complete design. The final design should be completed in a digital format.; the electronic version must be included in the submission;
• The design should be made available in high resolution formats like: PSD, EPS, AI, JPG, TIFF

• Designs are to be submitted in round or rectangle format
• Design is limited to 5 colours + a white base colour (if needed)
• Only submit art and that you have either created yourself, or that you have rights to. Do not submit art that is copyrighted by someone else

• The submission should be accompanied by a brief explanation (one paragraph) of the design and the main ideas represented.  We also encourage you to name your design.
• Submissions may also include a bio of the artist (one paragraph).

 

Submissions are to be sent to marketing@tofinotowelco.com with the subject line “TTC Design Contest”– please include your full name, email, address, phone number, and website/social handles (if applicable).

  

Rules and Regulations

Artwork. All entries must be original. No stock photography or copyrighted images may be used or duplicated without an unlimited-use license purchased and provided by the designer.

 

Judging. All entries will be reviewed by Tofino Towel Co., personnel and guest judges. Judging is based on a variety of factors, including creativity, style, expression and brand association. TTC VIPs (subscribers) will also vote for their favourite submission after the Tofino Towel team has selected the top 10 designs.

 

Eligibility. Tofino Towel Co. reserves the right to launch simultaneous design contests based on geographic regions or products. Entrants are permitted to submit their designs to multiple contests, however, the same design may not be entered into the same contest round multiple times, and may not be used in subsequent contests. All contest entries must have a valid name, address and email address in order to be eligible.

 

Prizes. Prizes are non-transferable. All taxes and other expenses not expressly specified herein as part of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

 

Notification. Contest start and end dates will be posted for each contest on that contest’s blog  page at tofinotowelco.com. The contest period may be extended at the sole discretion of Tofino Towel Co. Winners of the contest will be notified by email.  

 

Acknowledgment. All artwork submissions fashioned into a circular or rectangular shape . Submitted artwork becomes the property of Tofino Towel Co. until the winner(s) are announced.  Artists submissions may be reproduced by Tofino Towel Co. products and in any all media now known or hereafter developed for commercial and non-commercial purposes alike. Tofino Towel Co. will only create on a winning submission deemed to be winners pursuant to these rules. By submitting Artwork, entrant: (i) certifies that s/he/they created the submission and has the right to provide it to Tofino Towel Co.; and (ii) agrees to indemnify Tofino Towel Co. from and against any claims, actions, suits and all related liabilities, damages and expenses incurred by Tofino Towel Co. arising out of or relating to any alleged infringement of any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights of any third party. Each entrant hereby grants Tofino Towel Co a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, fully paid-up, worldwide license to his/her/their artwork submitted in connection with the contest.
